Holiday Clubs were quite fun this time because Chantel and I went to every club together.  It made the driving fun but also having someone to talk to and bounce ideas off of was fun.  For those of you who do not know who Chantel is let me tell you about her....she is the Life Skill Educator Coordinator and also Avril's PA.  We share the same office and on some days it

 

Based on my experience at camp this past week the statement "Ignorance is Bliss" really holds so true for me.  Please allow me to paint you the picture of camp......The children went up to camp on Monday and after a very long bus ride and miscommunication the LSEs and kids finally made it to camp.  I was getting play by play text messages and let me tell you it was such

Well early this morning (4am) I was awoken by the sound of a cricket!  I thought it had arrived in my flat and decided to make a home.  I went walking around the flat and realized that it was actually outside but was so loud I could hear it in my room.  I just crawled back in bed and tried to go back to sleep.  I think it worked because the next thing I knew I

Sometimes I feel like I do not have much exciting things to report and my life is just like anyone else's so I welcome anyone who may have some questions about what I do or things like that.  I mean I love taking the time to kinda process my days but also you all are the ones who read this and if there is something you would like to know about that is what I would write about as well. 

Last week I was in the office working for the majority of the week.  On Tuesday and Wednesday I went to afternoon clubs and did assessments.  It is nice being able to get out and see what is going on and look at what things are working and what things we may need to tweak.  Thursday was a very long day I worked in the office in the morning and then in the afternoon I had to drive to

Oh my word I do not know where the time is going it is already March.  Well ok time for the annual week report about what life has been like......

Tuesday (23^rd) some of us went to Home Affairs in Cape Town to find out information on getting a new visitors visa and all of the paperwork that I would need.  The funny part is they have certain policies so I can not even apply

So the rest of last week I made it to two more clubs to do observations. On Tuesday night I went to Bible school and we had a great class where we learned about Christian Scientists as well as Scientology. The observations/assessments are going well. On Thursday I went to Red Hill I was actually planning on going somewhere but then things just fell in place for me to go to Red Hill. I had my papers

This week was packed with all kinds of things.  First of all I have started going to a new gym that is cheaper than the one I was previously going to.  Well I had a meeting with a personal trainer and he set up a new program for me so this past week I was getting used to that.  I am so glad to say that I have not been too sore which is such a wonderful praise!! 

As far as Living

This past week I have been busy in the office but as well getting to go out to clubs as well. I was able to take some people to a couple of clubs this week and that was quite fun.  I also started taking a Bible class one night a week the class is teaching about other religions and cults.  I am excited for this new challenge of growth ......already what I have learned is that more important

 

This week I only made it to one afternoon children's club because I was spending some last amounts of time with Pat before she left on Thursday.  I made it out to Red Hill on Monday and took Melanie there so she could see what it was like.  I have to say the kids there are so cute in fact with all of the new changes and things they were only having club at the top camp on Monday
