Missions Momma

Life has been amazing this past year!  God has really been working in my life in major ways.  Eight years ago I began teaching elementary school and thought that was all my life had in store.  I also started attending Brentwood Baptist Church.  Well this was the beginning of CHANGE in my life!  I immediately became active in the Children's Ministry and this has continued through today!  I have taught children's Sunday School, helped in our Kid Worship service, lead a girls small group, lead the 5th grade mission trip, chaperone Centri-Kid camp, and basically not saying no to helping in any area!  

In September 2004, I went on a mission trip to Cape Town, South Africa. I thought it was going to be like any other mission trip. I would work and have an amazing time but then come home and settle back into my everyday normal life. To my surprise that was not what God had planned, because since returning from that trip my life has not been the same. Since 2004, I have had the privilege of returning to Cape Town twice. This past summer while on the mission trip to Thailand, God really began to make His plans about South Africa known to me. Now I am happy to say that in three weeks I will be moving there for a year.
