Wait4Me Concert WOW!

It has been a little while since the last blog.  That is not to say that wonderful things have not been happening I just haven't gotten time to write about them.  One of which as most everyone knows is that the World Cup has ended.  I promise to talk more about that when I do my newsletter later this month!!  Right now I wanted to share with you about what happened this weekend

.  Well Living Hope and the Life Skill Educators had the Third Annual Wait4Me concert yesterday.  The concert and whole Wait4Me campaign is to encourage children and teens to remain pure till marriage.  The concert this year was targeting grade six and up

children.  For a child or teen to come to the concert they needed to share that yes they want to remain pure until they get married.  The children had been hearing this message for the past couple of weeks.  There were around 600 children that signed the cards however we had somewhere in the 300 mark at the concert.   The theme of the event was a marriage ceremony!  We had it at King of Kings and it was decorated for a wedding.  We had it all flowers, arches, red carpet, and of course a bubble machine!!

The children from each area could do a 10 minute skit, song, or drama for the audience and each area did an awesome job and were so creative!  We had a time of praise and worship led by our Life Skill Educators and international friends.  One of the local pastors gave a message and a challenge sharing with the children from 1 Corinthians 13 specifically talking about the fact that LOVE DOES NOT ENVY.  Then the children shared vows and the LSEs shared encouragement vows to the children.  After the message from the pastor one of the Americans that was there shared her testimony and it was very powerful.  I mean you could easily hear a pin drop in the room.  I know that God used her testimony to share with the children that we do make mistakes but God loves us and redeems us!  One of the American teams that is here also shared a skit with the kids that gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes!

The concert ended with an invitation for children to accept Christ as the Personal Savior and also if they wanted to pray with someone and things like that.  I haven't heard stories yet but there were a lot of children that left the concert hall wanting to talk to the LSEs and I can't wait to hear how God moved.  The rest of the afternoon was spent cleaning up!  It was a wonderful blessing of a day.

I forgot to share what my wonderful job of the day was……I was the official time keeper or wedding planner if you will making sure we were on time and letting people know who was next!  Fun Job!!
